Oak Leaf Country Club has a ballroom that can be rented for all of your party needs; the ballroom can be rented by members and non-members alike. The ballroom has a seating capacity of 200, and the bar has a capacity of another 100. The bar cannot be closed during the event; it must be left open to the members. Chairs and tables can be brought into the facility for additional seating. The party renting is responsible for all table arrangements, decorating, and clean-up including vacuuming the ballroom. Other clean-up responsibilities include wiping down and returning all tables and chairs. The garbage is to be taken out and placed in the dumpsters. The dance floor and kitchen floor need to be mopped as well. All special events must be submitted in writing to the clubhouse manager.
The kitchen at Oak Leaf has table settings that include dinner and salad plates, cups, saucers, and silverware for 300 persons. In addition, there are 2 large coffee pots and 2 large punch bowls, as well as basic cooking and baking utensils. Any paper plates, napkins, foils, saran wrap, etc. used will be charged to the party, and are not included in the rent. The party must provide their own kitchen committee to serve and clean up the kitchen area. The kitchen and its contents must be cleaned up prior to leaving the event. The kitchen also has some lace cloths that may be used, but the cloths must be washed and returned by the renting party.
A deposit to reserve the ballroom for the event is due at least 30 days prior to the event and is to be turned in when the contract is signed and the date is then reserved. The deposit is refundable providing there is no damage and all clean-up meets Oak Leaf management expectations. Decorating the ballroom may be done 1 day prior to the event, providing the room is not rented for that day. Prior to decorating, check with the manager to verify that it is okay to proceed. The party renting the ballroom can buy 1 keg of beer per event from the club, and the payment of $175 is due 30 days prior to the event. If the event is in the ballroom, the bar on the ballroom side can be opened up to the party. All beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, must be purchased from Oak Leaf Country Club. Oak Leaf Country Club strictly enforces the laws of the State of Iowa.
